Coach-Led Group Training

Sessions are delivered by coaches who lead the room, guide the pace, and adapt in real time to the people training in front of them. Each class is structured to provide clarity and direction, while allowing for individual support and adjustment within a shared training environment.

These sessions are designed for busy professionals, people with mixed training backgrounds, and anyone looking for structure without pressure. Whether you’re returning to training, building consistency, or progressing your performance, sessions are coached to meet people where they are on the day.

Coach led group training

Coach-led group training at SHFT follows a clear session structure, with coaches explaining the intent, leading a relevant group warm-up, and guiding focused strength and/or fitness work. Sessions are designed to complement one another across the week, creating a balanced and complete approach to training rather than standalone workouts.

This approach works because it balances shared effort with individual attention. Adaptive coaching allows sessions to meet different abilities and energy levels, while training alongside others creates momentum, accountability, and a sense of progression that’s difficult to replicate alone.

This is the foundation of training at SHFT.

Our Classes

A mix of class types runs across the week so you can build a balanced, complete routine. Here's what each session involves.

Hybrid

Our core strength and conditioning class, combining resistance training with functional fitness. Moderate to high intensity with scalable options suitable for a wide range of abilities.

Build

Follows the same structure and programming as Hybrid but is specifically designed for parents and carers who need to bring a baby or toddler with them. Members can train while keeping their child nearby in a supportive environment.

Engine

Aerobic conditioning using rowers, ski ergs, bikes, and other simple, non-technical movements. Moderate intensity with a focus on endurance, pacing, and recovery. This is a great option for members wanting to improve cardiovascular fitness without complex lifting or gymnastics movements.

HYROX

Running and functional fitness combined to build endurance, strength, and work capacity. Suitable for those training for a HYROX event or anyone who enjoys longer conditioning-based sessions.

Skills

Technique-focused sessions covering Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and functional movement patterns. Moderate intensity with an emphasis on coaching, skill development, and movement quality.

Sweat / Team Sweat

High-energy conditioning sessions using simple movements to improve fitness and endurance. Moderate to high intensity, with fun and varied workouts. Team Sweat incorporates partner and small-group elements for a more social training experience.

Forever Fit

Low-impact sessions focused on strength, mobility, balance, and overall health. The pace is slower than our Hybrid classes, allowing more time for coaching and movement practice. There is no age limit for this class, although many older adults choose to transition from Hybrid to Forever Fit when they feel it better suits their needs.

Prime

A 15-minute recovery and mobility session designed to improve movement quality, flexibility, and reduce injury risk. Low intensity and an excellent addition to regular training.

Run Club

We also run a free 5km Run Club every Sunday at 9:30am. Open to all abilities and a great opportunity for members to build their running fitness and connect with the community.

Specialist Sessions

Our coach-led classes are built for all abilities, ages, and backgrounds, and most members train right across the timetable. Alongside these, we run two specialist sessions so more people can train in a way that suits them.

Build (Parents & Babies)

A dedicated space for parents and carers to train while keeping their baby or toddler close by. Build follows the same structure and programming as our Hybrid classes, so you get a complete, coached session without needing to arrange childcare.

Sessions are welcoming and non-judgmental, whether you're returning to training after birth or fitting movement around family life. Coaches adapt the intensity and movements to match your energy, recovery, and confidence on the day.

Forever Fit

A lower-impact class focused on strength, mobility, balance, and long-term health, run at a steadier pace with more time for coaching and movement practice.

There's no age limit, and many members move across from Hybrid when it better suits their needs. Movements are scaled to your current ability so you can train with confidence in a supportive environment.
